Le projet ZFarm : quand les bâtiments intègrent l’agriculture

'agriculture urbaine, soit le développement d'une agriculture des villes en ville, reflète la tendance actuelle de rapprocher la culture des fruits et légumes du consommateur. La capitale de l'Allemagne, Berlin, a accueilli très favorablement le nouveau projet ZFarm, Zero-Acreage Farming (ZFarming), également connu sous le nom de "zéro superficie agricole utilisée".

The mission of the Edible Schoolyard Project is to build and share an edible education curriculum for kindergarten through high school. Our vision is for gardens and kitchens to become interactive classrooms for academic subjects, and for every student to have a free, nutritious, organic lunch. If this program is integrated into schools, the curriculum could transform the health and values of every child in America.

A 30,000-Square-Foot Community Garden, in a Parking Garage

When the organizers of the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair imagined the future, they probably didn’t envision, among the jet packs and routine space travel, tomatoes growing on the roof of a parking garage. But 50 years later, that’s exactly what’s about to happen a few blocks from the Space Needle, where residents are building a 30,000-square-foot community garden atop a two-story structure once intended for fair visitors’ cars.
